Poppin' Up Possies with SK

As each flower and leaf was placed, the design began to take shape.

 A Sisters Dream Room

Two sisters joyfully share a little dream, which they know Nana can create for them.
It all starts with the sweet colors of teal, pinks and corals.
The tree trunk and branches are painted directly onto the wall and ceiling. Decorative paper is used to make 3-D leaves and flowers. I pinched the leaf bottoms together to give them a more dimentional apperanace. Then using thumb tacks, just simply tack them in place.

The oldest of the sisters wanted to be a part of her rooms creation. She had such fun working with her Nana.
The bright green cabinet was created using an old, worn, black armoire. Her insides are painted teal.
Thanks for visiting.

A Summer Wedding with SK on Elderberry

A Summer Cake

Daughters Darcy and Summer have a firm belief I can do ANYTHING…Hmmmm….They  have no idea I look to them for inspiration…So I start by making Summer draw her intricate designs to scale.

A Life Long Wedding Round Two. Flower Girls

I love my friends, I love my friends, I love my friends...Just Keep On Saying It.

With the backdrop complete it is time to move on to other elements of this wedding event.
FLOWER GIRLS
Seven to be exact. All different sizes, ages and shapes.

I ordered five hundred yards of gray tulle. The inspiration for these little tu tu's came from Pinterest, Where else?

Family Trees

Paint is such a fun way to add personality to a home. This family tree needed to be just a bit different than all the vinyl and painted trees. I didn't want it to conflict with the amazing handrail.

The tree was drawn on a paper template, cut and then taped to the wall. We then sponge painted around the outside edges for a 3-d effect.
Summer Lakey added her two bits up and down the latter for a few hours. Loved having her help me.

The owner plans on adding additional pictures and maybe even a birds nest for texture and definition.
